I hate the whole process of removing hair. It's tedious and boring. Ideologically I am opposed to hair removal. Practically I dislike the feel of chin hairs, moustache hairs tickle when they get too long and the boyfriend prefers my legs and armpits to have at least seen a razor occasionally, even if only in the distance.
This is not a post about the politics of hair removal. It's a request for advice and options to deal with hair removal.
You see, I'm hopeless at shaving my legs and arm pits, I always miss patches. Shaving my bikini line is a delicate fear inducing operation which always always itches as it grows back, occasionally leads to sebaceous cysts (which no one ever talks about, leading you to believe you've got muff rot until you make it to the doctors to have an embarrassing conversation and examination), and plays merry hell if you shave close to a period and then wear a sanitary towel.
Having my upper lip waxed may well remove a fine (fine as in not thick, not as in distinguished - distinguished will come when I'm 70) moustache of hair, but it always replaces it with red soreness and then spots, all along my upper lip, for about a week, by which point the hairs are growing back. Plucking my chin hairs (because I'm anal and probably have a touch or trichotillomania) result in a scabbed up chin, also with spots (but no hairs, somehow my brain thinks that's OK).
Electrolysis is way too painful for my upper lip, not available quickly enough for my chin, and a bit too permanent for the rest of me. Waxing is rather expensive for my legs. I used to wax my upper lip, it didn't work too well.
How does everyone else manage? Threading seems very painful, sugaring would also seem to leave me with infected spots.
(You know, if I could grow a full proper beard or 'tache these problems would disappear and I'd be warm in winter)

Help requested - what colourists/pencillers/inkers/letterers do
In 1994 DC ran a series of features at the back of it's books about the creative process in comics. One was called 'what exactly does an inker do?' (I've posted a scan of it here. Look at the bottom of the entry. It was featured in an Extreme Justice comic).
There's another one in the back of Guy Gardener Warrior # 25 called Comics Colouring demystifed, which I have scanned here:
Basically I'm looking for the ones that deal with the pencils and letters (I'm assuming these were done).
Does anyone have a scan they can send me, or can anyone put a scan on their site that I can steal, or can anyone let me know the names of some comics these how to's have appeared in?
Thanks for the help all!
And cos you're all so nice, have a lovely picture of some daffs:

Blog Banner help requested
I'm hoping someone can help..I'm trying to sort out a blog banner, you can see the half assed attempt that I've done, but it turns out I'm crap at using Paint. I can sort of crop pictures but that's about it.
So yeah, now I'm gonna throw myself on your mercy and ask if anyone fancies making me a banner if I email them the page I want? I couldn't crop the picture to the right size - I can't select all that I need, and I can't work out how to put writing on without blanking out the picture behind. It's probably a really simple thing to do but I suck at this sort of stuff.
I'd be utterly appreciative and of course will give you full acknowledgement. If anyone can help can you either leave a comment with your email address or just email me - contact details on my profile page.
Thanks!

Last but not least..
Yup, it's posts a plenty today :-)
And last of all, it's an all out Aquaman visual-a-thon.
First up, covers from vol 4:
(As always, click to enlarge)

*Gush*
This next one is why I've given up on vol1.

That's flying fish. Flying Aquaman through the air. Previously in this issue they flew rockets to the enemy in order to blow them up, then flew away.
FISH DON'T WORK THAT WAY! Gaaaahhhhhh. Maybe they're magnetic? My head hurts. It wouldn't be so bad but the issue also includes fish facts and tries to teach kids about the seas.
I was however loving the National Social Welfare Assembly adverts.

Wow, do you reckon Kal si gonna put those back?
Kids don't work that way.
