Super Silly Sunday

Perhaps this should be super slashy Saturday instead.
Can anyone tell me what issue this is from?

EDIT - Just found this (and others) in my draft posts folder.  Will be posting them over a period of a few weeks. They look to be about a year old.

Super Silly Sunday - this is not real Scottish slang

From Exiles 72.

(This is taking a lot of nerve to post.  Feels like a landmark moment for me).

Super Silly Sunday: Devil Dinosaur

I was going to split these up into several different posts, but decided I'm just going to show you some of my favourite panels from the series (issues 1-9 from the 70s).

The colours in my scans are magnificent.  So bright, so vibrant.

Let's start with an image of Devil tucking into a nice meal:

I like the sound effects in this series.  Rrmmmm conveys a certain something as does Blam and Womp:

Then there's the page that announced Journey to the Center of the Ants, which doesn't really make sense:

But next issue we see that yes, Devil Dinsoaur is fighting giant ants:
We are treated to some very dramatic, fainting dinsoaurs:
And some angry dinosuars:
And finally some dancing dinosaurs:
This whole series is daft, but very very enjoyable.

Happy Sunday folks!

Well I think it's a precarious and silly plan.

Super Silly Sunday - a note on housekeeping

Good grief who treats their house like this!  And why are Archangel and Bishop in action poses?  Why is Bobby icing up the stairs and not just running down them?

Fuck sake!   How is their house not ruined!

Super Silly Sunday

Eating doesn't work that way y'all.

An 'emaciation' power is stupid.  I do like the inclusion of the skeleton in the top left of the image though.  I do not approve of the use of literally.  We know it's literal, because you;ve just described a real event.  You tosser.

It's Scott.  Looking stupid.  It's almost mandatory to mock him.  And almost too easy.

Super Silly Sunday - polka dots and firearms

Oh how 90s.  Fun though.  I enjoyed this issue and this particular set of stories.  That's Forge in the corner there.  I ha dnot come across him before these Uncanny X issues, but you know what, he's actually quite good.

I don't remember who these two babes with guns are.  Can anyone provide some light?

Super Silly Sunday

Interesting to see that Diana's figure is nothing like the ham mannequin.

I immediately thought of this:

Wonder Woman scan found on Escher Girls.  GL scan from my archives, not sure which issue.
