This is awful. What the fuck is wrong with people? The fact that it's not an isolated incident, that this shit happens every day to countless numbers of women makes me even more angry. And no, I'm not saying this incident that it would be somehow be OK if this was the only time a woman got attacked because she rejected a man's advances.
Violence against women is so entrenched in every culture, (and yes, I do mean every culture because I haven't come across one non patriarchal society yet), that people (mostly men) thinks it's OK to continue to like this. They think they can get away with it and they do it, regularly. It's fucking endemic.
