for you, that is. these few panels barely represent the character. all there is is a few pieces of art and a damning blog title. one piece is a splash page, the other a piece of promo art, the third a TWO panel sequence from what is ostensibly his second appearance.

It's part of his character arc to mature past this sophomoric attitude.

I find it's counterproductive to attack works of fiction based on some scale of moral rectitude. It's fiction, not some screed laying out what is and is not the rules of a new society.

Let it GO. In two of the three examples here, he was still claiming to be Superman, not Superboy.

Dear David,

I'm not quite sure what you think the intent of my original post was, but seeing as you were upset enough to leave negative comments on two of my recent blog posts I will post the same response to each:

1) This is my blog. I can write what I like, when I like, how I like, in the style I like, for whatever purposes I like.

2) If it bothers you that much, you don't have to read it.

I have a comment policy (here: http://paiwings.blogspot.com/2009/05/comment-policy.html). If you read it you will notice it says 'don't be rude'. You are being rude. Discussion is fine, rudeness is not.
