I think it's just an old comic and the ink's run!
I like the use of "moody" coloring. Do things always need to look realistic? It's just comics, they should have to always follow our grim reality~(perhaps I'm more used to that with the ton of francobelgium comics I've read...)That Clark's a riot! XD
