We can only hope that Obama will handle the US better than Bush did. I really think Bush meant well, but his idea of "good for the country" was more like "good for my business buddies and my minister".
Bush's arrogance was his undoing -- and nearly the undoing of the entire country. And he PERSISTS in his arrogance by assuming history will judge him kindly as a good president. It's arrogant to assume that history will judge him AT ALL, for good or bad. Most likely, he'll merely be remembered as a name on a list, just like Millard Fillmore or Chester Arthur.
